3. B. Bryan and Coco
4. Zimonjic and J. Jankovic
5. Nestor and Konta

Don't know what happened. Nestor and Konta are not in the draw anymore. Let me add Bruno Soares & Vesnina and Kristina & Herbert (#3 seed) to the interesting pairs list.

Usually, in the mixed doubles there will be more upsets as the seeds don't mean much in mixed double. But, this time 7 of 8 seeds have reached QF. Even the non-seeded team is no slouch, being made of Leander Paes and Martina Hingis.

Both components of Santina are in different Mixed Doubles QF matches today. Hope they both win to compensate for their loss in WD event. I believe they cannot face each other before finals.

Both pairs won their QF matches and both pairs are playing their second match on the same day and this time in big courts.

Martin and Paes are up a set.

Sania and Dodig are on serve in 1st set (after being a break down).

Hope both pairs make it to the finals.

Martina match is now in STB. It is a good match. If you are out there you might want to catch it.

Sania and Dodig also won their SF in a close STB.

Now Sania and Martina will be on the opposite sides of the net in the finals. :clap

Sania and Martina are on different sides of the net. The finals of Mixed Doubles is going on in Philip Chartier. The chair umpire and myself are watching. :lolz:

Hingis and Paes finally get a break. They are up 2-1 in 2nd set. If they just hold serve, they can push it to STB.

Martina & Paes they gave the break back. It is 3-3 and is very tight match, but not as interesting as the semifinals that they played.

So, we now have the first champion of RG16. Congratulations to Martina Hingis and Leander Paes for winning yet another trophy :celeb:

Leander Paes will be 43 years old in exactly two more weeks. But, he seems to be going and going like energizer bunny. :clap

Here are some interesting stat.

1. Martina and Paes together have now completed Career Grand Slam in Mixed Doubles. Last year, they won AO, Wimbledon and USO. Now, they have won RG completing CGS>

2. Leander has now surpassed Federer :p This is his 18th Grand Slam Trophy.
