With all the hoopla over IPTL, don't forget the poorman's version of IPTL organized by Vijay Amrithraj, called Champion's Tennis League . If you remember, last year Venus Williams played in it. This is not international and happens just in India.

Six cities have "their" teams. Each team has four players: One current ATP Player, One current WTA Player, One former ATP player, One "up and coming" Indian Male Player.

This year they have Jelana Jankovic, Martina Hingis, Svitolina, Flaiva Pennetta, Alize Cornet and Heather Watson from WTA and Deliciano Lopez, Fernando Verdasco, Marcos Baghdatis, Karlovic,
Santiago Giraldo and RBA from ATP playing. Matches are already underway.

Punjab marshals have won all their ties so far.

Looks like they have increased the team size to 6. Each team has 3 Indians, 2 boys and a girl
on top of a ATP player, WTA player and a former ATP pro.
