Just be sure that you picked the right Pliskova. The one playing today is Kristyna Pliskova not Karolina who made the semis last week in Indian Wells. Kristyna is #101. Karolina is #14. Still seems a good pick but worth checking :)

Actually bert, I had the wrong Pliskova. I'll keep the bet but lower the amount.

I will put $5 on Pliskova. $35 on Cibulkova.

Thanks for noticing!!

I nearly stuck some on Genie but thought twice and decided not to... good job, as she's just capitulated in the first round.

Women draw - Day #3
upload_2016-3-24_18-45-19.png

Watson - Stephens should be interesting. Watson leads 4-2 against Stephens but lost their 2 more recent matches (French Open and Eastbourne 2015). Watson already played once in Miami, that's the first match for Stephens.
I will have an eye on Kasatkina-Halep too. Kasatkina is really impressive this season. I think Halep is stronger but I am curious to see how it goes.
I don't really understand why odds are so high for Bacsinszky against Gasparyan. Bacsinszky had a slow start in 2016 but showed really good things in Indian Wells.

But the most exciting from a betting point of view is Safarova-Wickmayer IMO. That's a good example of odds setting nightmare. Safarova is #15 and struggles with health problem since September 2015. This is only her third match in 2016 (2 losses). Wickmayer's season is not great but she had an easy win against Knapp in the 1st round and may have more energy and competition to win it.

I will bet 5$ on Wickmayer and 5$ on Bacsinszky.

I'll put $20 on Radwanska. I'm sort of surprised how long McHale's odds are to beat Serena, because she is much improved. I don't want Serena to lose, but I'll put $2 on McHale, just in case Serena has another bad day.

She certainly gave Serena a little bit of a fright.

I don't mind losing the bet, but I was not wrong that she was undervalued in the odds. McHale is pretty scrappy. She has a good serve. And obviously, Serena wants to win Miami again, so she is feeling the pressure.
