Two former Wimby Champs slug it out.
H2H is 4-2 in favor of Maria, last won in 2012 French Open and went to win it.

Hope it's a high quality match, Petra prevailing.

This match is so hard to predict
Which Petra will show up on court?
Petra rarely plays 2 good consecutive matches
I will go with Maria in 3 sets....

A no brainer.... Maria dominates!

I agree with you this time (as Maria can meet her destiny only by winning this).:snigger

While the match may be hard to predict, I predict that there will be 100+ UFEs in
this three set match.

I don't see what makes you think so. I didn't see Masha yesterday but Petra didn't do many UFEs i her match.

Voted for Petra in straights. Hopefully she manages to keep her confidence and good form from the last match this time.

Tough to call. However, if Petra can play relatively close to the level she did yesterday, she can get this done in straight sets. Even after going three, she looks far fresher than Pova. As much as I want Petra to win, I have been hoping for a Serena and Pova semi. But then I always want to see them play.

Again another match that could go either way. All depends on the Petra's temperament on the day. Right now I think she has more staying power than Maria. Rarely, would I predict a player to beat Pova, but I think she is ripe for an upset. Petra over Pova in 3.

Yes she does and does it with an Ace.
This is a lean mean Petra, and we have a shaky, erratic Masha.

This may not go as I envisioned.

Maria was shaky yesterday especially in the 1st set

Petra is known to go on walkabouts when she has won a set in a match

Well Petra may be off to a great start, but Maria eventually does build herself into a much tougher customer as the match goes longer. Petra will have to get this done in two I feel because if it goes three Maria is usually the queen of nine lives. Petra will have to maintain.
