Eh...it's only the fifth now, not the twenty-fifth!

But Merry Christmas to you too, brother! ;)

What date do you put your tree up Kieran?

I'm gonna get it next week, about the 14th or so. That's early for me, but they'll be gone if I don't hurry. I saw a house that was lit up with Christmas lights in September! :nono

I must confess though, one year myself and missus were so lazy and enamoured of our Christmas decorations that we left them up until the middle of February...

I do it in early December and keep it up through January 6th. I don't say Merry Christmas until after Advent is over.

merry Christmas everyone :) :celeb: let father crimbo make it down the chimney and leave you a grifter bike..can it fit ? :snigger, (the grifter I mean not father Christmas).

i'm off to partially cloudy but semi-sunny Cheltenham to visit the folks, i've got to put up a big 7ft tree by myself with minimal help :s, so it should not take more than 17hrs I think.

Ah, the good ole Raleigh Grifter... this will be lost on our American friends JLLB. I never had the pleasure of a Grifter - had to settle for a Striker... but it was still enough to send the kid across the road home in a hissy fit as his Tomahawk didn't match up.

I am a bit of a bike nerd, so I was at least able to glean that it was a bike.

I wanted a chopper in 1979 but I wasn't allowed because my parents said it was distracting having the gear lever on the frame as you'd have to look away from where you were going..

but I think the grifter was launched shortly after..so I was more than happy with that bike shaped invention.

To a kid, the Chopper was like pretending to ride a motorbike. The gears were in a bizarre place, and it was great for pulling wheelies but feck all speed in her... :nono

Merry Christmas to all and a happy new year. My wife is crazy about old school country Xmas music, and that starts after Halloween. The tree has been up since November 20th, but got decorated this past Sunday. I love that my wife is crazy about the season and that makes me happy too, so , it is all good.

I use Christmas Tree for screen saver for the entire month as I am a virtual Christian.
