Held on red clay, this is an outdoors international level event that offers 280 points to the winner.

Defending Champion is Kiki Berthens.
This year, we have a good field of players here, top seeds are Cirstea and Cornet, followed by Kaia Kanepi who returns from injury, the defending champion gets the 4th seed.

Top seed is gone in straight sets!

But you know, what else is new? Last year, none of the seeds surviived the early rounds.

The defending champion was a qualifier last year.

And by such a scoreline. Sorana is a lovable doll, and she can play some very good ball when she's on, but when she's not she's a disaster. She could (and should) be much better than she is if the gap between her best and her worst wasn't so incredibly big.
