Ferrer is back in action, it's been a while since we saw him play.  Yeah, a nice draw.

Quarterfinals set here as well:

Kyrgios vs Karlovic

Pospisil vs F. Lopez

Dimitrov vs Becker

Ferrer vs Kukushkin

Anybody watched any of today's matches?  Apparently Dimitrov vs Sousa was a good match.

So Benjamin Becker knocks Dimitrov out of the tournament.  That is a really bad loss by Dimitrov.

Semi finals are set:  Kyrgios will face against Lopez and Ferrer will take on Becker.  First final for the controversial young Aussie?

^^2nd final for nick if he makes it though the sf, he reached an atp250 clay final in spring..estoril in Portugal or something.

1st title though, if 'special k' wins here..which he could do. be good for morale and his pitiful world rank would get a much needed boost.

Thank you for clarifying that to me.  I couldn't remember it.  Lopez is playing well, but I think that Nick will beat him tomorrow.  And he will have his chances at beating returning-to-the-tour Ferrer in the final, if David makes it.   Well see, that is my prediction anyway.

Lopez is in final
Good for Feliciano.  I thought Nick would beat him, but old guard is still holding tough. B-)

So all Spanish final is set.

oh no. nick k forgot to win. no debut title this time round then.

have to make do with 90 world rank points, give a small boost to his lowly position in world rank charts.

Watched the replay of Lopez v. Kyrgios.  Lopez was pretty impressive.  Kyrgios a bit mouthy, but I guess he's trying to keep it together.  I'm thinking Lopez should take this, on form, but he can be a folder in finals.

I didn't see the final, and not sure if anyone did, but Ferrer took it, 7-5, 7-5.  I was a little surprised, and sort of disappointed, but I guess it tells how tough Ferrer is, and that he's back from injury.
