About Los Cabos

Los Cabos is a municipality located at the southern tip of Mexico's Baja California Peninsula, in the state of Baja California Sur. Mexico's fastest growing resort area offers miles of empty desert and deserted beaches. Laid-back nightlife and old-fashioned fun in the sun is the Cabos' lure.

The population is 287,000 and encompasses the towns of Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo (the municipal seat), as well as the Resort Corridor that lies between the two.

The area was remote and rural until the latter 20th century, when the Mexican government began to develop Cabo San Lucas for tourism, which then spread east to the municipal seat. The main draw is the climate and geography, where desert meets the sea, along with sport fishing, resorts and golf. This tourism is by far the main economic activity with over two million visitors per year.

Kokkinakis dumped the Birdman. He looks to be making up for lost time.

Last night, Big Kokk takes out the top seed (Berd) in a 3 set SF. Uncle Sam will join in him the final today.

I see it's Kokkinakis' first ATP final. Here's hoping he stays fit and keeps living up to some of that early potential.

Sam takes Los Cabos. Was hoping for a win for the Aussie, but a massive step in the right direction for him, even making the final.

2-Sam Querrey (U.S.) beat Thanasi Kokkinakis (Australia) 6-3 3-6 6-2
