I'm pleased to announce our newest correspondent Fashionista, will be conducting an interview with a linesperson at the Apia International tournament in Sydney.

Tennis Frontier is very excited to be granted this opportunity. If you would like to submit a question for the linesperson, please add them in this thread...

We will be collecting questions through Sunday, January 11.

Do you think Hawkeye should be used on clay courts?

(This linesperson may have only worked on hard courts, but it's worth asking anyway, IMO.)

How's your shins? (Just in case it's the linesman Daveed drop-kicked at Queens :snigger )

A back-up question: is it difficult to maintain impartiality during a match?

Do you think adults working as ball boys and ball girls should be called ball persons? Or do you think ball boys and girls should be called ball infants?

What level of training to linespeople undergo?

What was their funniest experience during a big match?

Do the players treat them well, in general? What's the relationship with the players like, or is it forbidden?

Thanks for the questions, keep them coming.I will be given a de-brief from Mr Glen Toland, who is in charge of officials at the Apia International Tournament,on what questions I can and can't ask the linesperson, before I do the actual interview.Mr Glen Toland has already picked out a linesperson for my interview,I will have to wait around until the linesperson completes his/hers on court duties.

I am leaving very shortly to Apia International, the weather isnt good at all here in Sydney, showers and very windy, that will affect today's play.I would like to thank everyone for their questions.I am really looking forward to this interview,I did interview the Senior Ball Boy at Apia 4 years ago and received a great response from the readers on the website it was posted.

Cheers.
