Listening to this you'd never guess they were so close to breaking up. Lennon talks about Harrison coming into his own and Ringo writing some stuff. Even touched on playing live again.

Yes that's right. This was recorded and broadcasted sometime in September 1969. Paul McCartney announced the break up in February 1970 same time he released his solo album. You get the impression John would have been happy to continue with the Beatles but had also wanted freedom to record with the Plastic Ono Band.
