British number 1 on the WTA side

Recent performances saw Joko reach the SF of the AO before losing to the eventual champion. JoKo has not played since, she withdrew from GB Fed cup challenge (which was going really well till the last match which was the play off to reach the World Group playoff group, we lost :( ) due to a stomach issue.

Joko has been interviewed on the Claire Balding Show and on the Johnathan Ross show - the latter to be shown tonight. There has been some tweets surrounding the Ross show appearance that appear to try and show the Brit star in a bad light, however Ross has defended JoKo

As much as I am not a fan of Ross, I am going to watch the episode to see what I think

Here is a snippet from the Clare Balding show:

I like Clare's shows actually.

I heard about the Jonathan Ross show - look forward to seeing the actual interview. I generally like him but he has become a bit of a caricature of himself... and he's not everybody's cup of tea.

Excellent seeding for French and Wimbledon if she can keep that ranking

Wickmayer next for Johanna. No pushover... but Johanna needs to be winning these sorts of matches if she's going to kick on this year.

Totally agree, but as she got a few scalps in the Aussie Open, no reason she can't do the same here

Tough battle for Johanna. Wins the first set on a tiebreak. Wickmayer fighting hard in set 2.

Yeah, Flipkens is a tough out... her ranking is a little bit false in some ways. At one stage, she looked in control against Heather but faltered. What is good is that we have these British girls pushing each other again to greater things. Just need Laura Robson back in the mix.

Yes, I think the fact Hev is number 2 with Noami hot on her tails has given her a drive. Do we know who is coaching her yet? I know Judy Murray was helping her during the Aussie swing, but i think she is officially coachless

No sorry I don't. I don't think Judy would have the time going forward with all of her other commitments.
