How long were the points at 2012 AO final compared to RG finals?

I haven't re-watched 2012 AO final, and I never want to (because I only re-watch victories) but for someone who remembers it clearly or has watched it recently, how long were the points?
Were the points significantly longer than at 2012/2014 RG final and 2013 RG semi?

I get the impression Nadal was still in defensive mode in AO 2012 (just as he was at 2011 USO final), so I suspect that caused the rallies to be a lot longer.
I think Nadal broke out of that defensive mode at 2012 RG (because he made an ultimatum with himself and has been a more aggressive player ever since, to avoid another 6 hour slam final).

After the 2012 AO final Nadal decided too speed up his ticks. This has significantly speeded up his matches. Now it's like pressing the fast forward button when he begins his service routine.

It's not as simple as looking at surface speed or how aggressively Nadal played. For instance, off the top of my head, I remember more long epic rallies in the AO 2012 finals compared to their 2013 FO semi, but A) this does not mean that the points on average were longer since you'd still expect more aces/service winners/1-2 punches on hards, which balances things out, B) a clay court match in sunny conditions is Nadal's dream, and he's able to draw more errors from his opponent, so Novak would have probably produced more unforced errors in their RG encounters, and therefore, the rallies wouldn't last as long.

Then again, I haven't looked at data (UE stats, average rally stats) or anything so I'm just kind of speculating from memory.

To answer your question, yeah Nadal was more aggressive at the 2013/2014 FO matches against Novak than he was in their 2012 AO final, but that's due to the surface since Rafa's forehand is much more problematic on clay in hot conditions and Novak can't deal with it as easily.

It's due also to Nadal changing his mindset and attacking more. Rafa was better at this in Oz in 2012 than he was at Wimbledon 2011, for instance. He worked a lot on himself to change that dynamic around, and became less fearful in his matches with Novak, and consequently more aggressive...
