A court hearing has been set for former tennis star Jennifer Capriati in a stalking and battery case involving her ex-boyfriend.

The 37-year-old Capriati is accused of punching ex-boyfriend Ivan Brannan while he worked out at a gym on Valentine's Day. Authorities also say Capriati stalked Brannan for months earlier.

Capriati's attorney has called the accusations false. A hearing in the case is set for Friday morning in West Palm Beach. Court records show Capriati is expected to attend.

Capriati is a member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame who began her professional career at age 13. She won a gold medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and later won the French and Australian opens. She also was arrested for shoplifting and marijuana possession
in the 1990s.

Capriati, 37, recently canned her third lawyer, Miami defense guru Michael Grieco, and re-hired Richard Lubin, the guy she fired in April to make way for Grieco.

It was yet another Gossip Extra exclusive: Back on Valentine’s Day, Capriati had a rather animated conversation with her on-again, off-again boyfriend in North Palm Beach, and she ended up being charged with battery.

Capriati, winner of three Grand Slam titles in 2001-02, pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor.

Since then, Capriati has consecutively hired four attorneys, according to court records, and fired three.

Musical chairs anyone?

And all the back and forth isn’t sitting well with the judge, August Bonavita, who caught the case after another judge recused herself.

Bonavita ordered Capriati to be in court for a hearing August 16 at the West Palm Beach courthouse — even though most defendants don’t have to be at a simple status hearing.

“The judge is pretty sick of her,” a courthouse source who asked not to be named said, “This is getting embarrassing. I suspect he’s going to give her the what for.”

Capriati has not returned calls for comment.

Jennifer Capriati won't face charges

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Former tennis star Jennifer Capriati won't have to face battery and stalking charges stemming from a 2013 confrontation with an ex-boyfriend under an agreement announced Monday.

Mike Edmondson, spokesman for the Palm Beach County state attorney's office, said the charges were dropped in exchange for Capriati's completion of 30 hours of community service and four hours of anger management counseling.

Court documents show Capriati attended the anger management sessions last week and did her community service at Florida Hospital Pepin Heart Institute in Tampa. The charges are misdemeanors.

"Those are standard conditions for a deferred prosecution," Edmondson said.

Capriati, 37, had been accused of punching former boyfriend Ivan Brannan at a North Palm Beach gym last Valentine's Day and of stalking him for months before that. One of Brannan's co-workers told police that Capriati had tried to enter a locked door at the business and sometimes called up to 50 times a day.

A professional at age 13, Capriati is an International Tennis Hall of Fame member who was a gold medalist at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Her career was interrupted in the mid-1990s after her arrest on shoplifting and marijuana charges, but she returned to win the French and Australian Opens. In all, Capriati won 14 singles tournaments.

Capriati's attorney did not immediately return an email message seeking comment.
