This year due to Olympics, there are small changes in schedule. So, even though this is the week after a grand slam, we have an ATP 500 tourney underway. Normally, only 250s will happen in the week after a GS. As a result, field is weak. Not a single top 20 player is participating despite this being a 500 tourney. Having DC in the same week (not to mention two other tourneys) could also have contributed.
The draw is here. It is a 32 player draw with no byes. The top 4 seeds are
1. Philip Kohlschrbrier
2. Benoit Paire
3. Pablo Cuevas
4. Alexander Zverev
Kohly tends to do well in tourneys in Germany. Cuevas tends to do well in clay tourney that don't matter. So, I think one of them will lift the trophy. Assuming seeds holds, they both should meet each other at SF.
