It's a tennis-nightmare-come-true: Isner and Karlovic are the top two seeds at an event. :cover

I hope Sock or Smyczek wins.

An Isner-Ivo final should be very scintillating. :snicker A 6-7, 7-6, 7-6 thriller. Will take about 45 minutes.

Smyczek loses 3 and 4 to a qualifier in the first round. Ouch.

Querrey wins two tie breaks to advance to the round of 16.

Was any one worried about Sock's match with Stepanek? I thought this was a very tricky match for Sock and maybe even a potential upset but wow. Sock blows Stepanek off the court 6-2, 6-0. :clap

And tented is saved from his nightmare scenario as Isner is knocked out in the first round 6-7(5), 6-3, 7-6(8) by Rajeev Ram! :s

I'm so glad I never got on that Isner fan train! He will just break your heart; one day a world beater, then the next he can't get past a qualifier outside the top 100! That DC loss to Ward will forever taint his career IMO; among other horrible losses! :nono  :cover :dodgy:

If Rajeev can beat Isner on Grass, it almost means it is time to retire for Isner. :snicker

Rampras is just the better grass-courter.

Sock comes close to going out but beats Lacko 3-6, 7-6(4), 6-4. Moves on to the QF.

Johnson goes down in straight sets to Ito.

Mannarion had to finish his 1st round which h won 6-4 in the third. But now he is playing Vasselin and down a set. If he goes down, that would leave three of the top eight seeds in the QF. Sock could meet Dr. Ivo in the SF.

Brown is up a break and leading 4-3. He could serve it out tomorrow.

And I hope he does it. Would be great to see Bob Marley getting some good results, nit just the occasional Rafa upset.

Brown looks odd in a way though. This huge head of very heavy looking hair and these skinny arms.

Why did not Dreddy Brown play in Newport before (assuming if true)? It should not be too difficult to get in to this tourney.
