A really good quality 1st set of tennis from both players, going toe to toe at the baseline with Sinner taking the 1st set 76(4)
Another tight 2nd set with both players having breaks, then got broken,Khachanov upped his game in the latter part of the 2nd set and broke Sinner and won 64
Going to a decider.Really enjoyable tennis from both players.I am off to work so I will catch the final score later.

Sinner served for it, and got broken. Khachanov is now in control. Good match, many changes of momentum. Now Sinner has to serve to stay in. I hope he wins, as he's been the better, but on the edge here.

That was a good match, btw. I know I make fun of KK for being a ball-basher, but I see there is more to him than that.

Ben fatto Yannik! I think those practice sessions with Rafa has really helped you since arriving in Australia and good luck in the final!
Just reading what Yannik said after his win.....practicing with Rafa who has won 20 GS is the best preparation I could have before the AO.....

Sinner plays countryman Travaglia for the title. Here's the bad news: It looks like Sinner plays his first round at the AO the next day! Back to my whiny Hamlet decision over Shapo or Sinner in my AO draw picks. :sos-button:
