The following article is on comparing Don Bradman and Sachin Tendulkar.
Bradman's average of 99.xy is really amazing and probably untouchable. Other
than that Sachin has surpassed Bradman in every relevant statistic such as
total runs, total matches, number of centuries etc. But in double centuries and
triple centuries, Bradman beats Tendulkar.
Also, the consistency of Sachin over a period of 24 years and over three
different forms of cricket is certainly amazing.
Apart from the numbers, there are also intangible elements such as
style and elegance. I tend to feel that Bradman beats Sachin on the
intangibles.
Bradman was able to achieve a high average because he played less.
If you play more, the average is bound to become less.
I am leaning towards Bradman, but am really torn between the two.

However, there is no question that these two are a class apart from other batsmen
such as Lara, Gary Sobers, Sunil Gavaskar, Vivian Richards etc etc.

p.s. I don't want to compare Shane Warne to Sachin as Shane is a bowler and Sachin
is a batsman. However, I do want to quickly point out that Mutthiah Muralidharan of
Srilanka has surpassed Shane Warne.
