Thread for funny interviews...

Starter is Jeremy Paxman interviewing Conservative leader Michael Howard. First segment is boring for anybody not interested in politics but the last few minutes are dynamite... watching a politician refuse to answer a question 12 times/ "Did you threaten to overule him?" from around 4 minutes onward.

This guy is from Canada and he's been interviewing mostly sportspeople. He has an ongoing saga with Kobe, that started years back. Here is one of the installments of Cabbie Presents:

I don't think so Billie. Jim Rome had been bagging Everett for a long time. It started with a "ghost" sack when Everett took a sack without even being touched to go down. Rome proceeded to call him Chris Evert/Everett after that and I think this was when it came to a head.

I always come back to NBA, I guess because I've watched it for so long.  Some of the memorable moments during interviews:

^^ Ha...you know who else always had funny interviews in these Late Night Shows? Late Robin Williams, I would stay up and watch when I knew that he would be a guest. The best ever talk show guest!!! This is 2nd to last Conan O'Brien show:

Ushi interviews Kim Wilde. Poor Kim, Ushi created the impression that she had designs on her, LOL.

Who's Ushi Robert? Is that the woman? Is it a Japanese comedienne or are they serious and just appear crazy?

No, LOL... Ushi was a Dutch Comedienne dressed up in Japanese make up. She used the same routine on many unsuspecting UK and US music and actors. Delightful stuff. Have a look on YT for some more of her work.

Ah, ok... like a dutch female version of Sacha Baron Cohen in his Ali G days?

...although the interviews before people caught on to who he was, were even better... they thought he was serious.

Thanks britbox. Yes that is a good comparison. I'll see if I can find some more of Ushi and post em here but gradually. The program never made it on Oz television.
