Of all the q/final's I am really looking forward to this match up.Their H2h is 2 all.Though their only meeting this year was at Stuggart, which Sveta won in a tight 2 set match.I am still thinking about the outcome.I am delighted that Sveta has made the q/finals,she knows her way around a clay court and she is one of the purest athletes on tour.

Kuznetsova in three. Halep is a significant rising talent, but Svetlana has more experience playing the big GS matches. Having won a couple majors, including RG, she knows how to win. I'm not sure Halep has reached that level yet.

^ Good points........Sveta's experience in playing the big GS matches might be the key in this match up

I forgot to mention how motivated Svetlana must be. With Serena, Li Na, Radwanska, Ivanovic, etc. all out, she knows this is a huge opportunity.

It's a little bit like last year's Wimbledon: the top players kept falling, so Bartoli spotted her chance and went for it. Svetlana has got to be thinking the same in Paris.

^ Agree this is a huge motivation for Sveta, still I dont want her to 'over think' it could be her down fall,I say this as her no 1 fan,I am so used to her having leads in matches and squandering them away.I wish at times Sveta didnt know she was leading in a match:)

Would love to see Sveta win the tournament. She's one of the few women I really enjoy watching.

I hope Sveta doesn't get tight. She can over-think. As tented says, she must see her opportunity and I hope she embraces it. She IS a past champion.

I've enjoyed watching Halep's rise in the past 8 months or so, and she's been pretty ruthless for most of this tournament. I'm backing her to win in three, Kuznetsova is going to be a very tough cookie.

Now that Si Si is back we can both cheer for Halep :D I agree Kuznetsova has all the experience, but I would rather see Halep win!

H2H is tied 2-2

Hi, I am back from a war zone called the Shitti "tennisforum.com", so I may be too aggressive or not, my apologies in advance.
Why this long start of post?... because I wanted to say that the H2H MEANS NOTHING!
If you count the Simona ver.1 of before May 13 then you are wrong. Simple as that.
the new Simona would double bagel the old Simona in every match. Its two different players you are talking about. So adding all the H2H is just false.

Man this interface is killing me, so different from the Vbulletin template.

my 5 pence:
very tough to call who wins. Simo has all she needs to win but Sveta can beat her. I believe Simona will win it
Simo can choke though and get tensed too much. her real enemy is her own nerves, nothing else! :D

^^At least we are both here to cheer for Simona :) I was afraid my cheering wouldn't be enough since you are her biggest fan :D

Thanks :) I have my issues and its nice to feel welcomed. Such contrast to the "main action hub" where everyone is fighting everyone on that ugly TF. Don't go near it, it will suck you in becasue of the amount. It can be addictive. Human nature... "Hotel California" - the song by the Eagles. Old song.

Welcome back Si Si.

Hello there. If I will cross lines in future, just tell me please and I will fix it as much as I can within my limits. ;)
So far I got along with all and avoided a fight with the Maria fan :D Its cool here
There is a common sense here. You will not find any common sense on "tennisforum.com", they are nuts as daylight. I am talking about their admins. They have no clue, they stir things to bring more traffic. The admins there play a cruel game with the minds of their members! Not joking. Its like a mad jungle there. They pretend to keep it clean but they encourage bad behavior there to spice things up. I feel sorry for all the good lost souls on that website. :D
Is it my imagination? no chance. They have a thread dedicated for who was banned lately! The admins there stir things up in purpose. It brings traffic. I was naïve when I went there. Not anymore!

You have a very high opinion about Kuzi. I think you are wrong this time, anyway... ;)
I really really like it when I see how Simona "fixes" so many people these days. :D
If Martina Navratilova didn't gave Simo a chance in Doha or Madrid or IW, then you are off the hook :) She never rated her, now she does.

P.S. I hope I didn't sound too aggressive, its just a friendly aggressiveness. Its a behavior I got from the ugly forum. That's how they talk there

Oh, and Sveta will never beat Simona in 3, only in 2 sets ! She will not handle it physically, the running over 3 sets against a rabbit like Simo will be too much for her. Sveta can win it only in 2 sets. imo of course.
