Well, yes, that was rather an operatic Italian display, but all he said was "It's not true, it's not true," then basically, 'what are you doing to me?' Only at the end did he say "Che cazzo fai? Madonna mia!" Which is sort of the equivalent of the F-bomb, but also not really. If he got fined for that, it IS insane and unjust. Really that's just good tennis theater. (HOW many hits on youtube.com...for a match that most wouldn't spare two seconds to watch?? The ATP should GIVE Fognini $10,000...for the publicity.)
