Strange how defeats against Roger never affected Rafa. He never got under the younger man's skin the way Nole did. So they met a few weeks later in Paris and it was as if this hadn't happened...

No response. I also wonder what GSM thought that bagel meant. I'd call it cold comfort. Maybe he wasn't watching tennis then. That streak had taken on a life of its own. It had to end sometime, and if it was in a final, against Federer, well…if you were Nadal, you might just sink into that one, as well. Just be tired, and let it go.
