The first event of the South American swing on clay. We were on a Estrella Burgos watch to see if he could make it 4 titles in a row.
He failed, being eliminated in R2.
There also was a big surprise, the the elimination of the top seed PCB by Andrej Martin ranked 165.
The talented young french Moutet scored his first wins on the main tour. and another surprise was the elimination of Monfils in the QF.
Who are in the SF:
Ramos- Vinolas, two clay courts who have a hard time to get their footing in the top 100, Monteiro and Carballes Baena, and the surprising Martin.

Estrella BUrgos won't win this year

Like in Sofia, here another player will be part of a final on the ATP for the first time.

Great for Baena to pull the upset. Now he is the youngest Spanish player in the top 100, at 24y.
