It is not really a upset regarding Svitolina whose game has spiral downwards after her split with Gael Monfils.Sveta at her best can upset anyone.
Petra Kvitova retired in her match against Jill Teichmann 26 43..........with adducter pain, in her right leg, which she first felt in her s/final in Doha.

Seems the youngsters are in better form as the established top --Coco is on to the next round after an impressive match 64 62 over Martincova - and I know she's out of the top 100 but should be more experienced than Coco - not to see today- Let's see how the next match between Iga and Mugu is turning out - another youngster against experience.

A first set Switatek will want to 'Forget' Garbine routs the youngster 6-0
Switatek has not got a big serve,it is something she needs to work on going forward in her career, giving her free points

Switatek improved in the 2nd set,Muguruza too strong and wins 60 64.
Switatek first serve needs Improvement ASAP which was soo obvious in the 1st set and 2nd set.

Mertens saves 3MPs and wins 11 games in a row to book her s/final,great turnaround she awaits the winner of Sabalenka/Muguruza in the s/final.Jess Pegula ran out of gas especially in the last set..........Mertens 57 75 60.

In the earlier q/final...B.Krejcikova d A.Potapova (WC) 60 62

A determined comeback from Muguruza who improves to 16-4 so far this season, defeats Sabalenka for the second time in as many weeks 36 63 62 she will play Elise Mertens in the s/final.

J.Teichmann d C.Gauff 63 63.
