The final is set! It's No.2 Tomic vs. No. 3 Mannarino! This would be Tomic's 3rd career title if he wins, while Mannarino is in his first ATP final. Tomic leads the H2H 1-0.

Mannarino is the surprise finalist here. Tomic had to fight Berrer hard to make the final, but he did. I imagine he's looking for some validation on the tennis side of his life. I think he'll defend his title.

After his arrest last week, I was wondering if Tomic was even going to show up but I guess he came with something to prove maybe. He should win, but Mannarino has been playing well the last few weeks.

Tomic's got a lot to prove. And he's the better player. I'd like to see if he can hold his nerve together.

Tomic should show the Aussie federation that they make a mistake counting him out. After al, he is the top ranked Aussie

Yes, but the Federation probably feels it has certain standards to uphold. Tomic should prove to himself and everyone else that he really can play tennis. But he has to prove to his Federation that he's not just a lawbreaking jackass, if he wants them to support him, and put him forward as a representative of Australia. Those are 2 different things.

Very harsh, I must say. Anyway, we shall see. Kyrgios is not far of the Jack...you have mentioned.

Do you think I'm being harsh on Tomic? I'd like to see him win tomorrow, and I'd like to see him rehabilitate his reputation. That said, this is not his first run-in with the law, and that doesn't include his father. People call Kyrgios a punk, but at least he only acts like one on court.

Tennis Australia tried to talk with Tomic this week, but he turned them done because they aren't supporting his sister the way he (his dad) thinks they should be. And for whatever other reasons. It doesn't look like they will be able to reconcile anytime soon. Kyrgios just acts like an idiot but Tomic is starting to look like a train wreck waiting to happen.

Oh, I agree that Tomic is a train wreck, and it's happening now. No waiting. I do still hope he can pull himself out of it.
