Here is an interesting match-up, these two are good friends but haven't played in more than 2 years, Vika would pull out everytime!

Who wins?

H2H is 4-2 in favor of Caro, Vika pulled out of the last 2 matches!

I didn't think Caro would beat Petra! She will beat Vika, me thinks!

A little less confident than I would be if Vika was playing well, but I still think she will prevail.

"Azarenka and Wozniacki have been players traveling in two different directions since early 2012 (Azarenka has been heading north, Wozniacki south)" Peter Bodo

Azarenka got this!

Victoria in straights, possibly 3 if her serve is sloppy.

Did anyone notice that Daddy Piotr is back in Caro's box? He just ran into the court for some coaching!
What happened to what's his name, did he go back to Masha?

Caro played pretty badly, she had her chances, especially in the second set.
She really has to make that serve count, most times today, it didn't do anything for her. Caro won 50% of her first serves.

Hogstedt was never in Caro's camp yet. It was just rumours so far, and still rumoured it will happen in the future. Piotr has been in Caro's box all year.

Maria says she parted ways with Hogstedt because he wasn't going to be able to travel with her group consistently hence making him more of a part-time coach. If that is true that he is limited in his travels at the time, I don't think he will make a good coach for Caroline. She needs a full-time coach.

I watched some of Caro's match against Sorana, I thought I saw him in Toronto! I must have been mistaken.

Yeah I agree with you. First set was an apatic form for tennis - actually from both players - like they didn't like to play at all. 2nd set much better and as one of the commentators said on BT sport - look at that she's using her forehand again - and in fact the set could have swung Caro's way. Well it didn't and lucky for me I don't have to be overloaded this week-end - but maybe next? we'll see won't we. Only thing - she got 1 round better than last year. She's going to be seeded among the first 8 at US Open. Let's be positive :)

Can't say I agree with this. The first set was a lot higher quality tennis than the second set.

The stats support this too.

Winners/Unforced Errors
1st set:
Azarenka 18/15
Wozniacki 5/7

2nd set:
Azarenka 9/21
Wozniacki 8/20

And I personally agreed with those numbers. Thought the first set was a lot more clean. The second set even without seeing the numbers, I thought had turned into a bit of an unforced error fest.
