Hi all,
Tennis Frontier applied for credentials to cover this event, today was the day our application was approved. We will have live coverage of this event.

As you may know, this is a mixed event. ATP masters 1000 and WTA premier 5 is contested. I will cover both genders. Western and Southern open starts August 7th and ends August 17th.

As for early news, the following players have signed to participate:

I want to make this an interactive coverage, I like to have our readers involved.
Feel free to ask me what you want me to cover, as a reporter, I am allowed to attend after-match-press-interviews and ask questions. We are also allowed to request 1 on 1 interview with any player.
We are also planning separate threads for ATP and WTA forums once we get closer to the start of the tournament. I will also take plenty of images to post in future threads and photo blog.

Suggestions?

Cincinnati 2014 tickets

Two Sessions Sold Out: Finals Sunday And Semifinal Saturday Night

CINCINNATI (July 31, 2014) – With just over one week until play starts at the Western & Southern Open, two sessions have already officially sold out.

The Championship Sunday session on August 17, which will feature both the men’s and women’s title matches, was the first to sell out. Just a short time later, the Saturday August 16 evening session, featuring one men’s and one women’s semifinal match, also sold out.

These two sessions have sold out earlier than any session did in 2013.

Last year, 13 of 16 sessions were sold out, and total attendance was an event single-week record of 187,183.

Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance by visiting the tournament website cincytennis.com, calling the ticket office at 513.651.0303 or purchasing from Ticketmaster.

Thanks Buddy!

I have news!
Wild card announcement:

Sock, Johnson, Querrey & Ginepri Awarded Wild Cards

The four wild cards for the Western & Southern Open men's draw have been awarded to Americans Jack Sock, Steve Johnson, Sam Querrey and Robby Ginepri. These four players are now into the main draw for the ATP Masters 1000 event that will take place at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason Aug. 9-17.

"We think the addition of these four players makes our already very strong field that much better," said tournament director Vince Cicero. "These are two talented younger players in Jack and Steve who are enjoying great seasons and have been playing well of late along with a pair of veterans who have previously had success here at the Western & Southern Open. We're very fortunate to add even more depth to our field with these wild cards."
