Defending champion Marin Cilic successfully defended his Kremlin Cup title defeating Roberto Bautista Agut 6-4, 6-4 in 1 hour 28 minutes.
Cilic has now won at least one ATP Tour title for every season dating back to 2008.
The final was a repeat of last years event which also ended in the same scoreline.
“I felt very comfortable and relaxed on the court. Perhaps the victory this year is special in the sense that it is usually more difficult to defend than to win the tournament for the first time.†stated Cilic in a post match interview.
