Caroline is out of the Singapore and it’s been so after Beijing, and what she’s fighting for is a place as no. 10, and that she has a fair chance to reach if she fares well in Linz, Moscau and the little WTA final in Zhuhai after the finals in Singapore – but let’s recap the racelist:

0 Serena Williams (withdrawn from Singapore)
1 Simona Halep ROU 5790
2 Garbine Muguruza ESP 4511
3 Maria Sharapova RUS 4322
4 Petra Kvitova CZE 3491
5 Angelique Kerber GER 3330
6 Agnieszka Radwanska POL 3245
7 Lucie Safarova CZE 3221
8 Flavia Pennetta ITA 3153
9 Timea Bacsinszky SUI 3133
10 Carla Suarez Navarro ESP 3030
11 Venus Williams USA 3011
12 Karolina Pliskova CZE 2950
13 Belinda Bencic SUI 2900
14 Roberta Vinci ITA 2655
15 Caroline Wozniacki DEN 2641

Caroline can in Linz- if she wins of course – get 100 points , as her 16th best result is 180 points
in Moscou – if she wins – get 290 points – if she loose final 125 points
in Zhuhai – if she wins – get 520 points

You can make the same calculations with the other players but always remember the 16th best result. And there are other rules but take that as a basic rule.

And why is she – I hope – fighting for the 10th place? Because Caroline is one of the only top 10 players (3 I think) able to get a bonus in the end of the year of $250000 (in her case) – also a good amount to be fighting for me thinks, and because of her injuries and early esxits lately she’s relatively fresh – compared to the rest of the players – well many anyway.

Life is complicated but doable – she’s “ONLY” missing 393 pointsWink.

So the draw in Moscou has never been so interesting – will be revealed Sunday – as they’ve not revealed who’ll get the wildcards – and according to the tournament staff – there are many.

Caroline shouldn’t really be in this position at this stage of the season. She should be Top 10 already.

Caroline has withdrawn from Moscou – thank you. Here is a little from Kremlin cups homepage:
we are very sorry that Caroline Wozniacki due to injury is not coming to Moscow. We wish her good health and hope to see the Dane in Russia’s capital next season.

Wozniacki is in touch with the directorate of the Moscow tournament and admitted that she got upset because of not coming to Russia’s capital.

I aggravated the injury at the tournament in Linz, – Caroline explained. – After the match, the doctors examined my knee and came to the conclusion that I should take a break.

So I won’t go on court in the nearest future. I am always very pleased to come to the tournament ‘Kremlin Cup by Bank of Moscow’, I’d like to thank the competition organizers for understanding.
