can we everyday folk actually get French Open tickets???

The #1 thing on my bucket list is seeing Rafa at the French Open. My husband and I are planning to go to France for our wedding anniversary this summer, and we're trying to go in time for the men's final. It seems almost impossible to get tickets, and they warn you on their site that your name must be on the ticket and match your ID, and they really only list one U.S.-based official ticket broker. The VIP packages are all sold out, and the general public can't buy tickets until March 13.

Has anyone successfully gotten tickets to the men's final without going broke? I'd like to be in Cat 2 seating...I never buy bleacher or higher-up seating because you can't even see if the ball is going over the net.

I would love some tips!!

Thanks!

A few people on the boards have been to the finals of Roland Garros. My understanding is that of the four majors it's the easiest to get show court tickets for. I've never been to RG, so hopefully somebody else will chip in with some advice/info.

It would be nice if the Slams extended early sales offers to members of other tennis federations! We're members of the USTA and can get presale tix to the US Open.
