Hi,

Sorry to hear that the popular author and broadcasting icon is going through a rough trot at present.

I started to add a series of Bud 'Mr Tennis' Collins after-match Wimbly interviews on my YT as I felt they deserve to be seen, where his inimitable style shines through. I think these are especially cool to see if you're outside of the USA (Cause we never saw them back in the day).

Keep Fighting Bud. And thanks for your contributions to the sport.

I always liked old Bud. I know he gets a bad rap because he's seen as an establishment figure who wears his chopped up curtains for jeans, but he's been around forever and he always had an entertaining way of expressing himself...

I'm in Australia so not sure what you mean. Bud's a Legend in the game (writer, interviewer and commentary) and the interviews in context are great reminder of his inimitable style of tennis broadcasting. We will never see his like again.

Bud is like anyone who has been around so long, they fall out of favour. Now he's just considered a party trick, but the guy has a great pedigree in the game, far as I'm concerned...

Well said. Loved some of the nicknames he came up with such as the Angelic Assassin (Borg), The Beville Basher (Connors) and the Ostrava Ghost (Lendl).
