That had to be a sad day in JJ's career, losing a grass court final to Melanie

I wonder if we will see Maria try to pick up points somewhere before Wimbledon to try and get the number 2 seed before Wimbledon?

Oudin has been ousted..Madison is going to good but her energy is just blah blah blah.Hingis, the sisters,Henin and most from that generation had a certain energy that make you want to watch women s tennis.
I think the generation of the Hingises and sisters set their own solid standards and didnt conform or tried to appease anyone. This present younger generation lack charisma, they play the same and their matches are not memorable.

Got a hangover from the French. It's hard getting motivated for a smaller event at this point, especially with Wimbledon right around the corner.

No worry, I will not flood this threads with daily scores, just important updates.

The defending Champion didn't get past the first round, as was mentioned above. Daniela is playing today followed by the local favourite, Heather Watson.
U-Rad later...

Flood it as much as you want, Kiu. :) If someone isn't interested, they don't have to read it. I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates all of your efforts.

EDIT: I see kskate2 beat me to it, but I'll leave my post here anyway.

Paszek continues her terrible slide...but still for some strange reason remains in the top 40's She will really have to do well at Eastbourne or she will tumble down the rankings, as the defending champion. Thanks for the update Moxie. If I have time as mentioned will try and fire some inside stuff on the Aegon International while I am there reporting on the tournament. Definitely, on my list of interviews will be Maria Kirilenko, Elena Vesnina and Eugenie Bouchard.;)
Weather looks promising there from about Tuesday on next week.

You have always provided such great information Kiu, which I certainly respect.:clap Keep doing what you have been doing, I may cover tennis to a degree in my media life, but I could never find the time to give such fine updates as you do.
Cheers,
Ruby

How about Franny, Flipkins and Lucic (the elder stateswomen) playing well on grass. Hold the press, Sorana took down the grass upset specialist (Pironkova)?

I don't understand why the British women aren't better on grass. They went out early at RG and had plenty of time to prepare for the change in surface. :puzzled

Hantuchova just won in two sets about 15 minutes ago. Will chat from Eastbourne a couple of times this week, will be very busy though, as Milos Raonic now top seed with wild card, so will be sending Tennis Canada lots of info on his performance there.
Maria Kirilenko plays tomorrow, so will focus on her, Eugenie playing 2nd qually and will see if she has won it.:D
Cheers from London.
