No slam is irrelevant. It's unfortunate Maria is not there, but the show must go on.

What is it that you think is missing from the occasion with her absence?
The sense of whimsy and fun that she brings to every match? Is the quality of the tennis diminished somehow?

I don't agree. Vika v. serena is the most competitive match on the tour right now, and if they meet in the final it would be much better than masha/serena.

Agreed. I've seen more than enough Serena/Maria matches, thank you very much. It's right up there with watching Federer/Roddick.

Real tennis fans love the the sport Sherona and are not simply fanatics following one player. They support the sport no matter who is playing. They buy tickets to tournaments and watch regardless.
