Tomic clashing with officials at Royal Pines over a $20 court hire fee.

This guy seems to be saying sorry all too frequently.  Perhaps if he finally got the memo about not acting like an arse in the first place it would help.

Yeah, I really don't get it.  He does seem to have a temper.  He needs to at least learn from his mistakes.  At least he apologized.

Just when I thought Bernie had grown up a bit and decided to make it about his tennis.  I do always feel for him a bit that his dad is such a disastrous example of temper, but he's old enough to make his own choices, as well.  He's not winning over many new fans, I reckon.

Bernie also says that Nole is a "joke"

At least he means it in the good way, or else he'd be the "joke."

Yeah, my post was misleading, I just realized that when you pointed it out.  Bernie seems to be maturing.  It is a different process for any individual, some take longer than others.  I don't think you can change your temper (god knows I have it) but we can try to control it, so hopefully he will be able to.

I don't understand.  What do you mean by meaning what?  I thought it was a nice article where he showed that he is also a respectful tennis player.   Just to counter articles that describe him in a less appealing manner.

Welcome Ricardo :)

I have always been of the opinion that Tomic has felt 'entitled' I have watched Tomic as a junior, sad to say his father has had a dominating influence in his career thus far.Tomic to date has really never lived up to the expectations to date.I am glad that Nick and Thannasi have appeared on the scene,I feel Nick has the weapons,as long as he can keep his focus, also his mouth:) he has more weapons than Tomic.I feel Nick has the ability down the track to win GS title.Tomic to me has not 'evolved' as a player,he is still playing the same brand of tennis he did in his junior days.I recently read that Tomic's father is concentrating on his daughter, which I feel is a good thing for Tomic going forward.

In normal countries they would be honoured to have a top player in their club and I don't think anyone would ask them to pay a  fee, but it's all upside down Down Under.
