Ok, so for American baseball fans it’s usually nothing new under the sun, there is ALWAYS some obscure statistical fact thats happened before in the nearly 150 years of professional baseball before.

Until now.

With California (LA) Angel’s 29 year old Ohtani :

Babe Ruth was a great pitcher before he became a great hitter, held some pitching records that lasted over 40 years and maybe if there was a Designated Hitter in his times…

• However Ohtani today is currently the best hitter and one of the best pitchers in the league simultaneously.

To recap, he pitched a one hit complete game shutout over the Dodgers with 8 strikeouts in the 1st game of a doubleheader, and in the second gane he hit two homeruns. Not a typo.

Unbelievable.

Nothing comparable to what he’s doing has been done before. Its not hyperbole to call him once in a century talent. He’s projected to hit at least 50 home-runs this year.

I’m so tempted to drive down to Anaheim to catch a game to see him, and i loathe driving to LA.. LOL

ETA: Never mind, i could just catch a game when they next play in Oakland. : )

Very true..my young cousin just got called up to join the team in Atlanta..he was drafted out of high school in 2017.. I will be following the Angels more closely now .God Bless and go get em Lil Cuz Jordyn!

Ohtani is a great talent but there are certain others as well.

Harrison Bader is a great Yankee although he is not a two way player.

As a two way player Ohtani is probably the biggest name in Baseball right now.
