I think as of today that should be

(Big Four: Nadal 14, Murray 13, Djokovic 10, Federer 4)

Most breadsticks against (6+ Slam winners): Jimmy Connors 91

(Big Four: Murray 60, Federer 41, Nadal 36, Djokovic 30)

Interesting that Federer has consumed more breadsticks than Nadal and Djokovic, but so much fewer bagels.

Would be interesting to the the stats per match played, as that plays a role. My guess is that, for those three at least, it might pretty much even out when you do bagels+breadsticks per match played?

Interesting that the numbers are so much higher in the earlier era. Again, numbers scored per match played could be the more relevant numbers, but does it perhaps indicate that today's era is more competitive?

Who knows! I'll look around and see if I can find another source, not that it really matters.

You really want to have a 'per match played' stat there, b/c obviously its going to be heavily skewed towards people who have played longer.

Also, there will be a good server vs good returner bias as well. Good servers will rarely be bageled, relative to a good returner. However the good returner will likely have more bagels given.

Yeah, the site I looked at didn't have that.

Back to Jedi's point, the top five bagels scored were players who peaked in the 70s, except Lendl who was in the 80s. Clearly something has changed in the game - maybe court homogeneity? More even talent?

Perhaps more clay matches back in the day... It will lead to higher likelihoods of bagels/breadsticks.

Interesting stats Dude, I vaguely remember Edberg triple-bagelling a guy at Wimbledon once upon a time.

I found this online (haven't checked these out), from 2012:

Novak Djokovic has been bageled 8 times in his career so far:

Francisco Costa -Budapest 2004 -Clay
Gael Monfils -US Open 2005 -Hard
Marat Safin -Australian Open 2005 -Hard
Richard Gasquet -Portugal 2007 -Clay
Nikolay Davydenko -Masters Cup 2008 -Hard indoor
Mardy Fish -Indian Wells 2010 -Hard
Kei Nishikori -Basel 2011 -Hard
Roger Federer -Cincinnati 2012 -Hard

Source:

Then there was Bellucci in Rome 2016: http://www.eurosport.co.uk/tennis/n...el-to-progress-in-rome_sto5570030/story.shtml

And Thiem in 2017 RG makes 10.

Budapest was a challenger. Maybe that's the source of the discrepancy.

He was just a day shy of his 17th birthday. :)

What's really interesting: In the most bagels/breadsticks against for active players the names overlap for both categories (i.e. Fog, Mad Doctor, Montanes, etc.)

I'll see to add this. Actually, percentage of bagels/breadsticks per set scored/against would be what you would want.

Hopefully Obsi recalls the Cinci 2012 bagel his pal Novak munched on seeing as it was served with a side portion of horseradish by his good pal Roger who apparently is an inferior player despite dishing out nourishing wholesome bread goodies in a goodwill gesture to Novak who he thought could do with some gluten that day. And of course this was years past Roger's prime and right back in the middle of the vastly superior Novak's prime. Cough.

On http://tennis-strangeforest.rhcloud.com/records you can now find all records for greatest Bagel/Bread-Stick percentages scored/against per set played, overall or for Grand Slam / Tour Finals / Masters / Olympics / Davis Cup / ... Vs No1, Vs Top 5, Vs Top 10 and in single season.

Enjoy!

No, they don't have stat on bagels eaten. They only have stat on bagels served. Obviously, they did not have enough time.
