Maria and JJ have early matches, both should advance.
Aggie plays Pavly, I think there should be some concern there.

I am hoping that Halep and Jelena win their respective matches tonight so that they can meet. I would love to see Halep win this quarter of the draw.

On the other hand, if Zarina Diyas overcomes Halep, she'll have another go at Jankovic whom she upset some two years ago in Moscow. At that point, the commentator at Eurosport had gushed that we were seeing the birth of a new star... well, Diyas slipped after that but maybe she is now coming up for sure. Anyway, I am eager to see her play tonight.

Lil Domi is really giving it to Carla, ahead a set and 5-0 in the second set.

Masha is also ahead by a set , she won it by the same score Lil Domi got, 6-1 but Masha is behind 1-3 in the second set.

JJ won the first set 6-4, I don't think it'll be as close in the second.

Maria won 4 in a row since my last post, she is now 2 points away from winning.

I was wrong about Nara, she is giving JJ the fits.

JJ climbs all the way back and is serving for the match at 6-5. Maria has served for the match twice and been broken both times. We're heading for a 2nd set breaker.

JJ comes through 7-5 in the 2nd set and finally Maria comes through the breaker 7-5. Maria will have to pick it up from here because everyone left on her side of the draw is dangerous.
