Aussie Open schedule

The Australian Open seems to jet along much faster than any of the other majors. Obviously the schedule, with play starting on Monday and not including an off-day (like the Wimbledon middle Sunday), plays a part, but I think the real difference is because I watch it from the U.S.: the time difference makes it such that I'm watching a semi-final on a Wednesday (well, early Thurs. morning, but it feels like a Wednesday because sometimes I don't even go to bed before it comes on).

Anyone else notice this?

No doubt it seems to be flying by.but it may be a matter of perception since it is virtually impossible to watch the entire days play in real time.

Actually, Lindsey, I do find the whole thing a little discombobulating. I'm watching Saturday tennis, thinking about it being day 6, for example, but when I get up and go for a run (sleep deprived,) I can't remember that it's still Saturday, and not Sunday. I was a day ahead in my mind every morning last week. It does clip along, too…looking at the schedule of play for today, I was shocked to realize how reduced the field had become. Well, hardly any rain delays, and they stubbornly refused to invoke the heat rule almost completely, so they've also bullied it along.
