A Berdych-Simon final seems tasty, if they get there. My dark horse is Fognini.

Why do players like Berdych with a legitimate chance of making the 2nd week not rest up for RG instead of playing this mickey mouse tournament? Seppi too played a blinder at RG giving Djokovic hell and resting so he's completely fresh makes much more sense to me. In any case he lost so it's a moot point.

I just checked and Berdych was replaced in the draw by Montanes, so he is not playing here after all

Verdasco got a WC even if he said several years ago that he would never come back in Nice because people booed him when he played vs Gasquet...he changed his mind and 'll try not to be booed this time !!

Good move by Berdych in that case. Needs to schedule wisely and that's a good start.

I read that he finally refused the WC...this Nando is unpredictable

Roger Vasselin beat Querrey

Montanes wins his 6 title on clay: 6-0, 7-6(3).

Considering he hasn't won in 3 years, it is quite remarkable, to get it at 32y while ranked 82. Congrats and Vamos!
...he could be the R2 opponent to Ferrer (he is 1-4 against him and 0-3 on clay)
