Here is the draw for the Atlanta 250. Isner is seeded 1, and dodig gets a bye, but the biggest news, Mardy Fish is finally back, and hopefully he will get to see the U.S. Open series through injury free. At Indian Wells he played a pretty tight two setter against Tsonga so he could still ball ok (I believe that was the result).

The Draw

Great to see him back and I remember that match. Quite a performance to get to 2 tiebreakers against an in form Tsonga when he (Fish) had been sidelined for so long. Hope things go well for him and the heart condition and depression don't flare up again. An exciting aggressive player to watch. Saw him playing Nadal at the WTF 2 years ago and loved it. Really great forehand with low net clearance and very good at the net.

He's got a reasonably friendly draw - it would be nice if he could get a few matches under his belt.

Great news for American tennis. I wish him a healthy remainder of the season and hope to see Brian Baker back soon too.

Well, Mardy lost a close one to Russell, who claimed the rain delayed help him. Hopefully his publicist won't write some dirt on Mardy.

SF today:

Isner - Hewitt
Anderson - Harrison

I just realized that our friend Haychew must be having a blast this week, with his 3 men in the running for a title each in the 3 events!:clap

Who's Chewy's other guy? I know F3 and Dr. Youzhny. I should be embarrassed that I don't...but I'm beyond that.

Hewitt's had some tough losses lately although getting to semis at this stage of his career is an achievement in itself. Still though, gotta be tough losing a match by 2 points in a 3rd set TB.

KA, the South African red head

And Kevin Anderson should make the final tonight against Harrison, who's fallen down in rankings to 132. I saw a twitter this week mentioning Harrison fired his coach.

Anderson was my guess. I like him! Good week for I. Haychew, as you say. I'm happy for him...there are not so many who champion the also-rans. And on top of it, get to be the stars of late-July!

Anderson - Harrison 6-3, 7-6, so Haychew's guys are 3 for 3, all in the finals!

F3, The Good Doctor, and K.A. 74 (A.K. 47 backards) all winning tournaments within the same week would be sweet!

K.A. 74 is a new one. Have to have nicknames for my guys and that's the best I could do!

I was happy Isner could repay the favor after a 3 set loss in the newport semis which had been Isner's little fiefdom for the last couple years.

Go Big John! I was happy with result but really felt for Anderson, who was the better player for the most of the match but fell apart in the final breaker, after having 2 match points in Isner's last service game.

Didn't see it, and personally I prefer Anderson's game, but happy for John.
