What is Samurai doing in B.A.? Shouldn't he be vying for guitar #6? :puzzled

Edit: I made a mistake, Tommy played against Lorenzi in doubles, in singles he will play Monteiro

You're right, he is good on the dirt. Maybe it shows a real effort to make a run at RG.

^Yes, and it is the second quality win from Monteiro in this tournament (first round he beat Estrella-Burgos). I hope he can get past Berlocq, which is a very good clay courter, coming off from some good results and playing at home, and meet Nishikori in the semis. It would be good to assess him against a top 5 player. At least, it will be a very important experience.

Kei, if you're gonna play like a pusher, at least do it right. Hideous performance, but Dolgopolov was fantastic today. Kei is such a perplexing example. The spinny serves, the loopy forehand, excellent movement on the surface, you'd think the guy was built for clay. Although he is a counterpuncher (not a natural clay courter!) and counterpunchers almost always perform best on hard courts because they rely on redirecting the ball and not so much on their own power. He should really look to improve on clay. He is missing out a lot on what could be his best surface. Never made a good run at RG. Last year, if I remember right, he got stomped by Murray.
