Cool outcome here, there will be a new ATP title owner crowned in the final.
Gilles Muller and D. Evans will battle in the final for their first career title on the Tour.

Both guys have nice games and I'm amazed Muller has never won one especially. He has such a great oldschool S&V game and great lefty serve. Hoping Muller wins it personally.

Dan Evans reaching the final here, increases the value we can put on Roger's win over Dan at Hopman cup.

Gilles is 0-5 in ATP finals. Pretty bad, but not as bad as Benneteau.
No shame for losing his first 3 finals (to Hewit, Agassi and Roddick) all these happened many years ago, but the last two were last year and those were both on grass to Karlovic and Mahut. These again are not that bad losses considering their records on grass.
But if he loses tomorrow, that will probably hurt the most, because Evans is pretty much a newcomer on the main tour. D. Evans is a very capable player, who wasted his best years by not being serious about his career.

Wouldn't really consider any of his finals losses bad losses given the opponents. Unfortunate finalists more like. This is his best chance for sure.

Good for Muller. First title and he will break into top 30 with this for the first time

Wow, first title at age 33. You don't see that every day. I'm curious about who are the oldest players ever to win their first title.

It happened not a long time ago.
Victor Estrella Burgos won at 34y and 6 months in 21015 at Bogota.
He backed it up in 2016, defending there his title.
