Kerber breaks and wins the 1st set 75.Konta isnt getting many points on her first serve,especially her 2nd serve,Angie is a good returner,1st set was competitive,Konta like to take the ball on early,on the front foot,though at crucial times in the 1st set it cost her.

Another break for Angie she leads 4-1 2nd set,Konta continues to make too many UFE in the 2nd set,also her serve has let her down,she hasn't played Angie before,I feel she is hesitant,to me she hasn't got a good game plan.

I would also like to congratulate Konta,after this tournament she will be in the Top 30,considering last year at the AO,where she played qualies and went out in the 1st rd,what a difference a year makes.Well done and good luck for the rest of the year.

Sam Smith think? she is a great interviewer and excellent commentator on the womens tour,I met her at Apia,Sydney tournament a few years back,she is delightful.
