Yes, pity that he never really sorted out that backhand though. Very good player, exciting to see. People sometimes say that he would have won more if Federer hadn't been around. Well, yes, but if he had been born five years later he would have had to deal with four of those guys. If he had been born five years earlier there would have been Sampras and Agassi. The fact is that he was an 'almost great' who made the best of what he had, which was a lot, but not enough to put him up there with the all time greats.
