His father-in-law is OK, his wife gave birth (I am assuming everything went without any problems), and a little baby girl was born. All good in Murray land. Congratulations!!!

Andy will return to action next week, he's been named in the British Davis Cup squad for the first round tie with Japan

Has anyone noticed that Andy is only 1815 points behind Novak for the race to year-end #1?

I guess I kind of assumed Novak was so far out and away on his own that the whole thing was a foregone conclusion. Murray gunning for Number One. I think he'd have to win the US Open to have any realistic shot.

Novak has 9040 points on the year, Andy 7225. The USO would help Andy's cause, for sure. But he has the hot-hand at the moment, and Djokovic is a question mark for now. Not impossible.
