According to Andre Nole is like him, Hewitt and Federer combined. What he exactly said is in my signature.

When did he say that? Is it something you read online? I'd love to read the rest of the interview.

Thanks, Mastoor.

This would make sense if federer alone wasn't a better player than Novak. I understand the Hewitt/Agassi combo since Nole combines great movement, defending/counterpunching and clean, offensive ball striking as well as a wonderful ability to change directions (much like Agassi). But Federer? Uh sorry, he's still in a league of his own, despite your inferiority complex. Anyway, this really needed its own thread i'm sure.

If it comes with an actual quote from Agassi, it can be said to deserve its own thread. If it's something that Mastoor heard across the bar, then, no.

He apparently did say it: http://www.tennis.com/players/2012/07/legends-look-back-ahead-in-powershares-series-launch/37309/#.UitrqD9hPfM

In context agassi is talking about all of their return games, not them as players in general.

I think I'd prefer to see Djokovic as the modern and improved Agassi. The Fedster is on his own level I think.

sorry, but the equation is incorrect, here's mathematic proof:

Agassi+Hewitt+Fed=8 US Open titles

Novak = 1 US Open title

8 US Open titles =/= 1 US Open title

Agassi must think Nadal is God if he thinks so highly of Novak... ;)

anyway, Riot basically hit the nail on the head by providing the thing so many of us dread - context and reason. Andre was simply talking about the return game (plus, the timing of the statement and the fact that Agassi likes (and Journos love) hyperboles, and there you have it).

Let's just blame Mastoor for misleading us then :)

nole is the modern day Agassi.

he is a bigger, quicker, faster, stronger, and a more lethal version of Agassi.

Agassi was a pioneer of the sport. he showed the world first that you can dominate the game if you have deadly but relatively consistent finishing power off both wings and if you can return like a demon.

Agassi could control the center of the court and take the ball on the rise off both wings. he gave up very little real estate.

Agassi only had one problem:

Sampras.

That's weird. Because I thought you assured us Sampras was a wimp who would get crushed by today's players, but "pioneer" Agassi did fine. What gives?
