Nottingham Open, officially named for sponsorship reasons Aegon Open Nottingham, is a tennis tournament for men and women held in Nottingham, United Kingdom. After being discontinued in 2008, it has been re-established as from the 2015 season as an ATP World Tour 250 event on the men's tour, before being downgraded to a Challenger event in 2017, and an international event on the women's tour, played on outdoor grass courts at the Nottingham Tennis Centre. As did #3 seed and #6 seed, leaving #5 seed Safarova in the bottom of draw as the lone seed. How long with that last?
Talking about the bottom of the draw, 2 seeded Americans lost today, 2 unseeded Americans advanced, go figure.

More casualties were #8 seeded Naomi Osaka losing to qualifier Kristie Ahn 1 and 1

Konta had her chances but instead argued with the chair umpire, yelled at her at the end too.

2 grueling 3 setters in 2 days and Donna Vekic comes away with the trophy, beating #5 and top seed along the way.
