Schwartzman v Verdasco meet again? I doubt it. Verdasco is injured so I expect he’ll withdraw. Schwartzman might withdraw also due to fatigue or inability to get to Mexico in time for round one.

Who says that Verdasco is injured? I didn't see it in the final.

The commentators said Verdasco couldn’t put up a fight against DS due to injury. I don’t know what the injury was.

The only injury I could see was in Verdasco's brain, but I didn't watch all of the match. I guess we'll find out.

Very strong field for a 500 event with 6 top 10 players

It is not in itself surprising, but is surprising considering two 500s are splitting the field this week. It looks
like more players like the idea of being in Mexico so that they can quickly get to IW from there, instead of
travelling to IW all the way from Dubai. Actually, I think Dubai offers higher prize money than Acapulco
(need fact checking here). But, that does not seem to entice players.

Rafael nadal first match against F.Lopez should be straight sets win for Nadal.like to see Nadal return the ball inside the court, to practice for Federer matches.

I'm LMAO because there's no Dubai thread. Dimitrov's lost already. Sure hope they didn't pay him much of an appearance fee. Fly all that way for nothing. Do you even get points for a 1st round loss when there's only 32 seeds? I don't think you do...

Nadal replaced by Taro Daniel. I’m surprised Nadal hasn’t recovered. Wasn’t it a muscular strain at AO?

How does he lose to Jaziri, seriously? Waited 10 years for this dude to have some sort of consistency and still...

Bad news for Rafa and his fans, good news for DarthFed, Front242, Roger's ranking, and the rest of us Fedfans who don't have the balls to admit we're happy whenever Rafa gets hurt.

If that weren't sad, it'd be funny.

TV saying it’s his hip, not thigh. That’s way worse.

Just feeling a bit crushed right now. Folks said that Rafa shouldn't play Acapulco. I hope it's mostly that.
