Does Anisimova win her first slam title (and keep the American calendar slam alive), or does Swiatek finally add a Wimbledon title to her collection of French Open titles?

Also, for the first time ever, the women's final will be held on my birthday.

I'd really like to see AA get her maiden slam. She's been through a lot. Her story is a testimony of remembering to take care of yourself. It will be tough for sure because she gets nervous at crucial times and you can't afford to give Iga any freebies.

I think it will depend a lot on if Swiatek is “back” , ie her confidence soaring & the shots free flowing and muscle memory. In the past year she has been “thinking” too much out there.

Don’t think Iga !!!

As I am a massive fan of Hsieh period, legend, actually I picked the doubles team No seeds Sinikova/Townsend to win the Doubles title at Wimbledon this year
The doubles team of Hsieh/Ostapenko just played a master class of a match and deserve their place in the final

Iga Swaitek making the Wimbledon final becomes the youngest woman since Justine Henin to reach the GS finals on all 3 surfaces, if she wins the title Iga will go one better

Without less pressure going into Wimbledon and her least favorite surface, though Iga was a junior Wimbledon champion, she has really come of age on the grass, also in the second week of the championships the grass is drier and less slippery,, her great footwork has returned and also her return of serve, she has impressed me, also she is taking notice of Wim Fissette for the first time on grass.playing aggressive tennis and trying not to get involved into longer rallies and her 1st serve has also improved

Amanda Anisimova, has proven in the tournament how well she can play on grass, she is a pure striker of the ball, her bhand and bhand slice are just wonderful to watch and one of the best combinations in the WTA tour, she has battled back since the death of her father/coach and also fought her own mental demons to come back to the tour when she needed to have a break.Making the Wimbledon final is just the reward she has for her hard work.
Anisimova will reach a new career high of No 7 when the new rankings come out, she could go as high as no 5 if she wins the title

It will be a match of contrasts

Good luck to both ladies, both deserve their place in the final

Miriam Bley from Germany will be the chair umpire of women's singles final. She has been a Gold Badge Umpire since 2019.
During her career she chaired an GS Final the Womens Doubles Final at Roland Garros in 2025

Amanda full of nerves and tight lost her opening service game
Iga no sign of early nerves and leads 2-0

Iga will try to test the mobility of Amanda, which has improved, though still needs improvement, Iga returning angles to both sides of the court

Oh No Amanda with a DF and Iga now with a double break

This is the Worst start for Amanda still tight as a drum, a total nightmare of a match
Iga taking full advantage of the fact
Iga leading 5-0 and serving for the 1st set in just 22 mins

A very one sided opening 1st set won by Iga 6-0
2nd set about to start
I am praying Amanda can shakes off nerves, and play the tennis she has been playing all tournament up to this final
Amanda needs to find her first serve for starters, nerves can make your serve first to disappear

I can't help but wonder when is McNally ever going to put it all together. The women's tour is wide open, and she has way too much talent to not be competing for slams.

Iga is a great front runner in matches, she wont be giving Amanda any time to re-group and she is ruthless and extends her lead 2-0

Crowd trying to get behind Amanda, at present she needs all the help she can get, she has to get on the board in this game

I have to give credit where it is due
Iga serving has been on 'point' and her return of serve has been on 'point' as well
Iga leads 4-0

Who would have thought Iga in a Wimbledon final, grass has never been her forte
Well she has made me eat 'Humble Pie" by the way she has played in this tournament, it looks like grass is one of her surfaces she can play on with ease
