Who wins?

The head-to-head is solidly in Novak’s favor: 6-0

Is there a question, really? I want to believe in fairy tales, so hope that Shapo is the one to change the narrative. But...
Yeah, seriously. He had to work pretty hard just to get past KK.

Shapo has the game, but he hasn’t fully realized how to play with controlled aggression, so Novak would have to experience an unexpected meltdown for Shapo to take this.

Denis is the youngest Wimbledon s/finalist since Andy Murray in 2009.

Novak is looking invincible at the moment so it's hard to see him lose here. Shapo can play really well at times, but his erratic play with UF errors will cost him at the end. Voted Novak in 4, because I believe Shapo is able to deliver 1 set of top level tennis.

Or Novak will go on walkabout for one set. Either way, Novak in 4.

I posted in the general thread but am repeating here.

According to bookies, Novak has 90% chance of winning and Shapo has 10% chance.

From what I just read Djokovic was asking the organizers to play first on CC,his wishes were granted most of the time, but not for the s/finals.

Actually, his request makes sense considering he is in top half and they were playing first from the beginning.

I can also imagine that he'd want to get in and get it over with without having to ruminate over it too much. Most commies have been saying, especially since the draw came out, that possibly the only person who could beat Novak is the Man in the Mirror. We know that pressure builds as a player gets closer to historic achievements, and Djokovic is susceptible to it, at least as much as any. I don't think Berrettini v. Hurkacz will be the longest match ever, given the way they play, but it could go 5. Which gives Novak and Denis a lot of time in the locker room to think about it.

Also, from the organizer's point of view, it should be beneficial for them to schedule a match whose outcome is almost certain first and save the suspenseful match for later. I am not sure why they decided to do it this way.

I wished he would have made this request SW19 2018.. Isner's matches are long and dreadful

Because it's the undercard, and you schedule your marquee match second, and for the lucrative part of the day? Just think of the timing in Britain and Europe: if Berrettini v HH starts at 1:30pm GMT, Djokovic will be on during hours when most people are off work on a Friday night. No matter how much we think that Babycakes v. Bond Villain will be the better match, those boys are not box office.
