Naomi Osaka leads H2H Su-Wei Hsieh 4-1.Four of the five matches went 3 sets.They met four times in 2019,it was Hsieh-who took the only straight sets victory in a round of 16 in Stuggart.

Osaka showed Champions mentality in her last match saving MPs and came back to take the match against Garbine.This wont be a easy match,Su-Wei will slice and dice around the court.Osaka can play first strike tennis she will win,cannot let her focus down in this match.Osaka has said she likes playing tough opponents,she has one tricky and tough opponent today.

Su-Wei struggling with the pace of shot from Osaka so far in the 1st set

Osaka 5-2 good game plan going to the SU-Wei Bhand especially on a 2nd serve.Standing inside the baseline putting pressure on the return of serve.
Osaka 6-2 with a solid 1st set has not let Su-Wei get into the 1st set at all.

As I stated before its the pace of shot that Hsieh has not been able to handle in this match today.

On her 3rd MP Osaka wins 62 62....Total domination and a flawless display of tennis!.....in just over 1 hour!

Well done to the 35 year old Hsieh who has had a great tournament reaching her 1st GS q/final singles!

Osaka will play the winner of Serena/Halep in the s/final.

Another well played match from Naomi Osaka - was able to desarm her oponent right from the start. Osaka has developed into an almost perfect player and a joy to watch. No wonder why Nike wanted her to design her apparel - think that also bring something to her calm and fun way to be - well done Naomi.

Usually when she has played Hsieh their matches have gone to 3 sets,also after she saved MPS against Garbine and I thought she was going out,she showed today calm,controlled,aggressive tennis and showed how to defeat Hsieh.
